ROSEVILLE, Calif. — One person was killed and two were injured after a four car crash on southbound State Route 65 in Roseville, according to California Highway Patrol.
Officials say a man driving a Chevy Silverado looked down to grab something in his car, when he looked up he was unable to avoid crashing into the back of a Chevy Spark.
The Chevy Spark driver was killed after their car crashed into a Lexus which then rear ended another Chevy truck.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and the driver of the Silverado has a possible concussion. No other injuries were reported, according to officials.
Officials say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and they're unsure how fast the cars were going when the crash happened.
The lanes were closed for a few hours, but have since been reopened.
