MATHER, Calif. — A driver died in a burning car after a two-vehicle crash in Mather, Thursday.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says the crash happened on Excelsior Road and Kiefer Boulevard. Both lanes of traffic were blocked.
Fire officials said one of the cars caught on fire after the crash and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the other vehicle involved in the crash rolled over and the driver had minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation of the crash.
