GoldenSky Festival to impact traffic around Sacramento this weekend

There will be traffic impacts near Discovery Park because of the GoldenSky Festival.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — GoldenSky music festival will happen at Sacramento's Discovery Park this weekend, Oct.14 and 15.

Performances will happen from around 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 12:45 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Eric Church, Jon Pardi, Maren Morris and Parker McCollum are headlining the festival.

Anticipate traffic before, during, and after the festival. 

There will be delays through the weekend on I-5 near Richards Boulevard and on Garden Highway.

Transportation Options 

Sacramento Regional Transit: SacRT will provide bussing for GoldenSky Thursday through Sunday. People attending the event can ride the light rail and use the bus service for free between the 8th and K bus stop downtown and get dropped off near the event in front of the ARCO on Jibboom Street.

Bike Valet: Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates will have FREE bike valet near the Jibboom Street entrance of the venue. They'll take bikes, skateboards, and scooters.

Park and Ride Shuttle program: You can park at Cal Expo and ride the shuttle to Golden Sky by purchasing a Park & Ride Shuttle Pass.
