SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Highway 50 crash left three cars on fire along the roadway on Friday evening.
The crash happened along westbound HW-50 at 15th Street. According to Caltrans, the three car crash blocked four lanes and resulted in a vehicle fire.
Acorrding to Officer Stephen Browning, spokesperson for CHP- South Sacramento, the crash was akin to a domino effect, where one car rear-ended another car which caused that car to hit another.
Officer Browning said that the car that started the domino effect was the first to catch fire. Afterward, wind spread the fire to the other cars.
According to Caltrans and CHP, there are no reports of any injuries at this time.
Drivers should expect delays.
