YUBA COUNTY, Calif. — One woman was killed and a man injured after a head-on collision on Highway 65 near Wheatland.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 65 near Oakley Lane.
CHP says a 73-year-old Wheatland woman was driving her Toyota Corolla northbound when she went over the double yellow lines and into the southbound lane. She collided head-on with a 22-year-old man from Marysville driving a Ford Explorer.
The 73-year-old died from her injuries while the other driver had moderate injuries.
It’s unknown if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash.
