Portions of I-80, Highway 20 in the Sierra to close Saturday

Here are the lanes that are expected to to be closed so PG&E could make repairs to powerlines damaged by recent storm.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Portions of I-80 and Highway 20 in the Sierra will be closed starting Saturday morning to allow PG&E to repair power lines damaged by the latest storm, according to Caltrans

Here are the lanes that will be closed due to repair work:

  • Westbound I-80 at the Nevada state line to trucks only, 4:15 a.m.
  • Westbound traffic at the Donner Lake Interchange will close, 4:45 a.m. 
  • Westbound traffic at Kingvale, 5 a.m. 
  • On the eastbound side, traffic at Nyack will be stopped at 4:45 a.m. and at 5 a.m. for Cisco Grove.
  • Eastbound Highway 20 will be closed in Nevada City, 4 a.m.

The roadways are expected to re-open hours later by 7 a.m.
