FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A man died after a crash along Interstate 680 on Tuesday near Fairfield.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 8:50 p.m. The California Highway Patrol said a man was driving northbound on I-680 toward eastbound I-80 when the car left the road. It landed on its roof in a creek and the driver died.
The man's identity hasn't been released.
It's unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The crash is under investigation.
