ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash near Roseville, Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. and has shut down Foothills Boulevard to traffic in both directions at the Foothills Overpass, according to Roseville Police.
Crash investigators say the motorcycle was heading north on Foothills Boulevard when it collided with a car that was heading in the same direction. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the bike.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
It is unclear when the roadway will be reopened. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
