SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — A motorcyclist died after hitting the back of a car on Interstate 80 near Davis Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on westbound I-80 just before Kidwell Road around 3 p.m., according to CHP. Officials say traffic slowed down and a motorcyclist hit the back of another car. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not identified him, but say the motorcyclist was a 60-year-old Elk Grove man.
No further information is available at this time and traffic is impacted in the area.
