A portion of Highway 99 south of Chico has closed due to a major crash, according to a tweet from Caltrans District 3.
The major crash happened around Neal Road and involved at least six or more cars. The cause of the crash has not been released and there is no word on injuries at this time.
Caltrans says drivers can expect the closure to last until later afternoon or early evening.
