YUBA CITY, Calif. — A woman was killed, and a man injured in a crash in Yuba City on Wednesday.
The Yuba City Police Department said the crash happened around 8 a.m. A vehicle heading eastbound on Colusa Highway crashed into a light pole near Rocca Way.
When officers and a fire crew arrived, a vehicle was on fire on the southeast side of the intersection. The fire was put out and the driver, identified by the police department as Jeffrey Ross, was taken to a hospital with significant injuries.
A woman died at the scene, though it is unclear if she was a passenger. Her identity has not been released.
The crash is under investigation.
