Sacramento crash puts pedestrian in the hospital with critical injuries, police say

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A crash in the area of Power Inn Road and Cucamonga Avenue in Sacramento has left a pedestrian with critical injuries on Wednesday morning. 

Sacramento Police Department said the collision happened just before 2:50 a.m. on April 28. Officers responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the southeastern area of Sacramento. 

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, Sacramento police said. There is no update available on his condition at this time. The driver was contacted on scene and was cooperative with police. 

The roadway was closed while units investigated and traffic was backed up, but the road since reopened, easing some congestion for commuters.
