SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Frontier Airlines is continuing its goal to connect California. It launched nonstop services Tuesday from Sacramento International Airport to LAX and San Diego International Airport.
With the two new routes, the budget airline now offers six nonstop destinations from SMF.
“We’re delighted to launch these two new routes at SMF, offering consumers affordable and convenient travel options to two popular California destinations,” said Josh Flyr, Frontier's vice president of network and operations design in a press release. “This service supports our mission of bringing exceptional value and a superior travel experience to underserved markets.”
To celebrate the expansion, Frontier is offering fares as low as $29 to travel to both LAX and San Diego.
The promotional fare is available for all customers, however, there are several strings attached to get the low price.
First, the $29 fare will only be available for travel between Sep. 5 through Nov. 15. Tickets also need to be purchased by 11:59 pm on Aug. 23. Purchases are required to be made seven days in advance.
There are also several blackout dates: For traveling to LAX the fare is only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the promo timespan.
For flights to San Diego, the only black out dates are Saturdays and Sundays.
