CALIFORNIA, USA — Many people are planning to hit the road for Thanksgiving travel and they could be paying less for gas than a year ago.
According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular gas sits at $3.06, and in California, it's $4.45. The California price is about 46 cents less than last year.
Gas prices in the Sacramento region are also lower than last than this time year.
In Sacramento, the average gas price is about $4.38 for a gallon of regular gas. For diesel, it’s about $4.79. A year ago, the average price for a regular gallon of gas was about $4.73. For diesel, it was roughly $5.73.
In Stockton/Lodi, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is about $4.27. For diesel, it’s about $4.74. A year ago, the average price for a regular gallon of gas was about $4.60. For diesel, it was roughly $5.74.
In Modesto, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is about $4.18. For diesel, it’s about $4.78. A year ago, the average price for a regular gallon of gas was about $4.63. For diesel, it was roughly $5.70.
