SACRAMENTO, Calif. — As more people are becoming fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the itch to travel again is stronger than ever! And Southwest Airlines is looking to satisfy that travel urge on the cheap, by celebrating its 50th birthday offering one-way flights for as little as $50.

Tickets must be purchased no later than May 3, according to Southwest’s terms and conditions.

Just this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) eased guidance for domestic travel for fully vaccinated people, too.

In its latest guidance, the CDC says that “fully vaccinated travelers do not need to get tested before or after travel unless their destination requires it” and “fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine.”

Even fully vaccinated people will still be required to wear face masks on the plane and in the airport.
