Here's how much rain and snow fell this week

There wasn't that much rain in Sacramento compared to the feet of snow in parts of the Sierra.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The late Winter Storm brought abundant rain and snow across the region.

Friday

On the lowest end, Sacramento Executive Airport received 0.07''.

On the highest end, Stockton received 0.53”.

48 hour rain totals:

  • Sacramento: .33"
  • Placerville: 2.50"
  • Rancho Cordova: 1.21"
  • Stockton: .55"
  • Yuba City: .36"

The Sierra received an abundant amount of snow.

This is what UC Berkeley Sierra Snow Lab tweeted out on Thursday that there was more than a foot of snow:

As of 8:00 Friday morning, Sierra ski resort snow totals amounted too

Overnight & 24 Hour Snow Totals:

  • Palisades Tahoe: 6 inches overnight, 28 inches in the last 24 hours
  • Boreal: 6 inches overnight, 22 inches in the last 24 hours
  • Heavenly: 5 inches overnight
  • Soda Springs: 6 inches overnight
  • Kirkwood: 24 inches in the last 24 hours

48 Hour Snow Total:

  • Sierra Snow Lab: 31.1"
  • Palisades: 29"
  • Kirkwood: 29"
  • Arnold: 2"
  • Shingletown: 2.2"

Weekend Warmup:

An upper area of high pressure will bring more seasonal temperatures in the 70s on Saturday and the 80s on Sunday and Monday as we dry out from the most recent storms.
