Northern California weather watchers have been tracking a variety of weather the past couple of weeks -- including funnel clouds, hail, lightning and tornadoes.
The cloud formations over the area have been amazing as powerful Pacific weather systems pushed through the state.
A photo sent by News10 viewer Karen Loveall Bachelor, from Incline Village in the Sierra, shows a cloud formation that looks like a waterspout or funnel cloud. This cloud formation is one of the most commonly mistaken for a funnel cloud or tornado.
Given the weather on Thursday, these clouds are most likely rain shafts. These isolated columns of rain fall from a thunderstorm cloud.
