SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck in Mendocino County Friday night, the United States Geological Survey reports.
According to the USGS, the quake struck around 8:45 p.m. Saturday 132 miles west-northwest of Sacramento and 3.1 miles west-southwest of the census-designated area of Laytonville.
The earthquake's depth was 3 kilometers, or 1.8 miles. There were no preliminary reports of damage.
