Evacuation order lifted near Yolo after Cache Creek flooding concerns | Updated

Residents living north just to the northeast of the town of Yolo are being evacuated due to an overtopping at Cache Creek.

YOLO, Calif. — Update: 9 p.m.

The Yolo County Sheriff's Office has canceled the mandatory evacuation alert for people living to the northeast of the Yolo community.

Mandatory evacuations are in place for people living north of Cache Creek to County Road 13 in Yolo County, Wednesday night.

The area of concern lies just to the northeast of the town of Yolo. A map of the area of evacuation, including evacuation routes, is pictured below.

Yolo County officials say Lee Middle School in Woodland is opening as an evacuation shelter. That shelter is also pinpointed on the map.

Officials say the city of Woodland is under a flood watch, but it not currently under an evacuation order.
