Monday, June 8, marks the first 100 degree day of 2015 according to the National Weather Service Sacramento.
To mark the occasion, the service posted nine unique facts about 100 degree days in the Sacramento Valley on their Facebook page.
Here's a few interesting facts: The last time the Valley had triple-digit heat was nine months ago on September 13, 2014.
Another fact from the service: The first time temperatures reached 100 degrees, or higher, in 2014 was exactly 365 days ago on June 8, 2014! On that day, temperatures in parts of the Valley hit 104 degrees.
