SACRAMENTO, Calif. — So far June has seen big swings in the weather for Northern California and that trend continues for the next 10 days.
Tuesday begins a new warm-up with highs in the low 90s then upper 90s for Wednesday. Breezy north winds keep fire concerns alive but we do not have a Red Flag Warning. Wednesday's temperatures will be hot but not record-breaking.
Wednesday evening stronger onshore winds kick in and usher a new cooling trend going into the weekend. Highs on Thursday drop 10 degrees to about 90 then again to about 80 by Friday.
Rain chances pop up later Friday and Saturday for higher elevations and there could be a dusting of snow for the higher elevations of the Sierra. This storm is not expected to produce heavy rain, but for far Northern California some light rain will fall and there are thunderstorm chances as well.
High temps remain mild for the weekend with warming beginning on Monday.
