SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With an inch to two inches of rain for the valley and much more snow for the sierra, several counties in the Sacramento region have sand bag locations set up for you.

For San Joaquin County, sandbags are not provided for free but they can be purchased. Click here for a list of locations.
For Stanislaus County, in Modesto, up to 20 sandbags per residence can be supplied by the City of Modesto. For sandbags in Modesto, contact 209-342-2244 or make an online request. County residents can contact 209-525-4130.
In Turlock, sandbags are stocked up and available at 901 South Walnut Ave. During storms, the City will operate the sandbag station station from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the rainy season, the sandbags are available self-serve 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
For Sutter County, the county asks that property owners and businesses take no more than 25 sandbags. A full list of sand bag locations is available HERE.
For Yuba County, there is a limited supply of sandbags for flood emergencies. They can be found at the Yuba County Airport at 1420 Sky Harbor Drive in Olivehurst.
For Plumas County, numerous business will have sand and sandbags available. Click HERE for sand providers and HERE for sandbag providers.
For Solano County sandbags and sand can be picked up at these locations.
