The opportunity for critical fire weather is a constant part of the forecast for the rest of the week.

The opportunity for critical fire weather is a constant part of the forecast for the week in Northern California.

Here's a day-to-day look at the fire weather outlook for this week:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s.

Risk: Elevated to local critical, fire weather conditions. Gusty north to east winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Very low daytime humidity and poor overnight recoveries.

Wednesday: Mostly Sunny with highs in the upper 80s.

Risk: Elevated fire weather still exists. Slightly less breezy winds. Very dry conditions. Local gusts up to 25 mph possible.

Wednesday Night - Thursday: Overnight lows in the mid-50s and Thursday's afternoon highs near 80 degrees.

Risk: Widespread critical fire weather conditions. North to east winds likely stronger than earlier in the week.

Friday:  Mostly Sunny with highs in the low 80s.

Risk: Critical to elevated fire weather likely to continue. Winds forecast to decrease slightly, although fire weather concerns likely to continue due to extremely dry conditions.
