Due to winter weather conditions, some school districts are closed for snow days in the Sierra and Sacramento area.
While some districts and schools decided to delay start times on Wednesday due to the icy roads, others took the whole day off, both for in-person and online learning, and canceled evening activities and practices.
On Thursday, power was restored to several schools that were previously closed or had delayed start times. Some schools are still moving to distance learning amid dangerous road conditions and other hazards.
