SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Looming blizzard conditions in the Sierra have caused DoorDash to temporarily suspend operations in certain areas.
“This is a potentially dangerous situation so we’re activating our Severe Weather Protocol to help keep our community safe,” said DoorDash spokesperson Julian Crowley.
The move comes with blizzard conditions in the Sierra and foothills bringing potentially dangerous weather, such as strong winds and heavy snow.
Operations for the following cities have been suspended until at least 10 a.m. Sunday.
- Redding
- Auburn
- Oroville
- South Lake Tahoe
- Glenbrook
- Red Bluff
- Placerville
- Sonora
- Martell
- Susanville
- Paradise
- Truckee
- Bishop
“We want to thank the affected Dashers, merchants and customers for their understanding during these incredibly difficult conditions and look forward to resuming operations when it is safe to do so,” said Crowley.
