Some Northern California schools closed Friday due to weather impacts

Weather-related impacts are keeping some schools closed on February 24.

CALIFORNIA, USA — Some schools in Northern California are canceling classes due to extreme weather impacts.

Some districts only have a handful of school campuses closed as opposed to the entire district. Others are opting for a later start to the school day.

Amador County Unified School District

  • All sites are closed Friday due to the weather. After-school activities are canceled for the day. Students can be picked up or use district transportation.

Camino Union School District 

  • All sites are closed Friday due to the weather.

Pollock Pines Elementary School District 

  • All sites are closed Friday due to the weather.

Silver Fork School District 

  • All sites are closed Friday due to the weather.

Calaveras Unified School District

Black Oak Mine Unified School District

Pioneer Union School District

Gold Oak Union School District

Foresthill Divide School

Pleasant Ridge Union School District  

Nevada City School District

Indian Diggings School District 

  • Indian Diggings School District is closed at all sites on Friday.

Curtis Creek School

  • Curtis Creek School will be closed on Friday.

Grass Valley School District

Late Starts

El Dorado Union High School District

  • Union Mine High School, El Dorado High School and Independence High School are in a two-hour late start. buses will use alternative "satellite stops" due to weather.
