CALIFORNIA, USA — Some schools are calling Monday a snow day due to weather conditions in Northern California.
Sunday's rain and snow are expected to taper off by late Sunday night but have created numerous issues along Interstate 80 due to spinouts. While there'll be a brief break, a more powerful storm is expected to appear on Monday.
The heaviest band of rain, along with heavy snow, will likely move through in the mid-morning hours on Monday.
Winds will be strong in both the valley and across the Sierra, prompting a Wind Advisory in the valley and a Blizzard Warning in the Sierra. Snow in the mountains will be nearly constant.
Here are the school districts canceling classes ahead of the storm.
