AMADOR COUNTY, Calif. — A cold spring storm is causing a Northern California school district to call for a snow day on Friday.
The Amador County Unified School District said due to the expected snowfall and road conditions, all schools in their district will be closed Friday.
"This decision has been made with the safety of our students and staff as our top priority. In light of this closure, all district-sponsored programs and events for tomorrow are also canceled," the Amador County Unified School District said on Facebook.
Meanwhile, in El Dorado County, Gold Oak Union School District will close all its school sites on Friday. Black Oak Mine Unified School District will have all their school sites on a two-hour delayed start. Otter Creek classes will also be held at Georgetown School.
