Snow Day: Several districts announce school closures

Several school closures were announced Sunday following another weekend of snow in the Sierra. The following schools are affected: 

Pollock Pines Elementary School District

• Pinewood Elementary
• Sierra Ridge Middle School

Silver Fork Elementary School District

• Silver Fork Elementary School

Lake Tahoe Unified School District 

• All schools in the district will be closed on Monday, Feb. 11. The district shared the below video on Twitter, telling students to have fun and be safe on their day off. 

El Dorado Union School District

• El Dorado High School and Union Mine High School are on a two-hour delay due to icy roads. All Schools in the Pioneer Union School District will be closed today due to no power.
