Significant snowfall in the Sierra means now’s the time for skiers to hit the slopes

Significant snow has fallen all over the Sierra and Ski resorts are offering sweet deals on single-day tickets and packages.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Three storms in a matter of about 10 days have left more than 100 inches of snow at the summit of numerous ski resorts across Northern California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range.  

New Lifts and trails are opening each day. Half, if not three quarters of lifts at most resorts are now open.

This amount of snow comes almost an entire month earlier than last year.
