CALIFORNIA, USA — Another cold weather system is moving into Northern California. This will bring chilly temperatures and low snow to end the weekend and start the new work week.
Rain and snow become heavier Sunday night through early Monday. Snow level will drop to 2,500 to 3,000 feet early Monday.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect above 3,000 feet and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect near Lake Level in the Sierra through 5 p.m. Monday. As much as 24 inches of snow is possible for the higher Sierra elevations.
Rain accumulation will be around 0.25 inches. Gusty winds are possible through the day. Ponding of water on some roadways is possible early Monday.
This cold storm exits Monday night leaving cold temperatures in place for early Tuesday. Expect widespread 30s and patchy frost early Tuesday morning.
Another round of rain is possible by late Thursday through the upcoming weekend.
