SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento man is now in custody after he allegedly keyed around 100 vehicles in Yuba City in May.
According to the Yuba City Police Department, the vehicle vandalism happened overnight May 4-5. Officers say 23-year-old Pouriya Sahand used an object to deeply scratch the paint of the vehicles, causing around $175,000 in damage in total.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Sahand and Sacramento County deputies found him at one of the addresses provided by Yuba City police. He ran away from deputies at first but was detained by Good Samaritans as he tried to return.
Sahand was booked into the Sacramento County jail and will be transferred to Sutter County on charges of felony vandalism.
