SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Police are investigating a double shooting near a hotel in the South Natomas area on Sunday.
Officers responded to the scene at the Extended Stay America hotel in the 2800 block of Gateway Oak Drive around 12:30 p.m. When they arrived, police said they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was taken from the scene in serious condition. The second victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury, according to police. Neither of their identities has been released.
Right now, police have not released any information about a possible suspect or suspects. Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be random.
