Suspect in Sacramento restaurant arson arrested

Jack Burgeson faces felony arson charges for the fire on Stockton Boulevard. He is being on a $1 million bond.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Fire officials said an arrest related to an arson fire on July 18 was made after an investigation. 

Sacramento Fire Arson investigators found that Jack Burgeson, 51, deliberately set fire to a vacant restaurant on the 5100 block of Stockton Boulevard on Thursday, causing $15,000 in damages to the exterior of the building. 

Burgeson faces felony arson charges for the fire. He is being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on a $1 million bond. He is scheduled to be in court on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

Jack Burgeson was arrested for deliberately setting fire to a structure on Stockton Boulevard, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
