$5K reward offered for information after deadly fire in Citrus Heights

There's now a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a person suspected of starting a deadly house fire in Citrus Heights.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a $5,000 reward for information about a deadly house fire that happened in Citrus Heights in June.

Officials say they received a call around 11:45 a.m. on June 17 for a house fire near the 7500 block of Oak Grove Avenue in Citrus Heights.

The Citrus Heights Police Department and the Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded to the fire, and crews found a person dead inside. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was determined to be arson and the Citrus Heights Police Department identified a vehicle of interest.

The vehicle described: 

  • 2002-2006 Toyota Camry (No license plate information)
  • The car is blue. The top of the car has paint corrosion due to heat
  • No sunroof
  • Aftermarket five-spoke chrome rims
  • No window tint
