MINDEN, Nevada — One person is dead after two planes crashed mid-air in Douglas County, Nevada, Monday morning.
The crash happened at 9:47 a.m. at the Minden-Tahoe Airport near the Lake Tahoe area, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
One aircraft was able to make a landing at the airport, while the other plane crashed into a field off Highway 395 near the community of Johnson Lane.
One person was killed in the crash.
Officials said the airport is closed while an investigation is being conducted.
