FOLSOM, Calif. — The city of Folsom announced its Historic Ice Rink will open Friday, Nov 8, and run through the winter until Jan. 20, 2025.
The ice rink was temporarily closed for repairs before winter in 2023. Those upgrades cost about $800,000. The cost of the repairs came from the association and some equipment was from Italy.
While crews worked overnight to ensure guests had the opportunity to skate, a temporary ice rink was moved to a nearby parking lot.
However, the city is proud to announce the return of the Historic Folsom Ice Rink. Guests can enjoy firepits, lighting, special events and a party zone.
There are sessions Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. Also Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Every session is 90 minutes long.
The rink will open at 10 a.m. Friday at the Historic Folsom Plaza.
