Lodi woman identified as one of two victims in Alpine County plane crash

Police say Nannette Singer was a “dedicated police volunteer, retired educator and devout Catholic” who is survived by her husband Sam and daughter Gabrielle.

LODI, Calif. — The Lodi Police Department identified Nannette Singer as one of the two victims who died in an Alpine County plane crash Wednesday. 

Police say Singer was a “dedicated police volunteer, retired educator and devout Catholic” who is survived by her husband Sam and daughter Gabrielle. 

The second passenger has not been identified by officials yet. Flight maps show they were heading to South Lake Tahoe from Lodi. The crash was found around 5:30 a.m. after Alpine County Sheriff’s Office deputies were alerted about an overdue flight around 1 a.m.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash. 

No other information is available at this time.
