SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man hit and killed by a Sacramento Regional Transit District shuttle bus Monday morning has been identified.
According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, he was 64-year-old Muhammad Saddique.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near Banfield Drive and Club Center Drive. It’s unclear what led up to it.
A spokesperson for the Sacramento Regional Transit District said the involved bus is a SmaRT Ride, which is a shuttle service where people can request rides. It's a shorter service bus.
The driver stayed at the scene and the crash is under investigation.
