PLACERVILLE, Calif. — The Placerville Speedway hosts Freedom and Fireworks Thursday to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Freedom and Fireworks features a sprint car race. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. at the speedway located at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, according to the event website. The grandstands open at 3 p.m. and sprint car qualifying begins at 5:30 p.m.
A fireworks display is coordinated with the Family Blast at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.
Outside food or beverages and weapons are not permitted. Bags and persons are subject to search upon entry, and in-and-out privileges are limited.
Smoking and vaping are allowed but only in designated areas.
Camping is available and space can be reserved by calling the event center at 530-621-5860, organizers said.
The fairgrounds charge $10 per vehicle to park. Tickets prices range from $8-20.
