Man arrested in connection to hate crime at Roseville's Blaze Pizza

18-year-old Igor Dragun was booked into the county jail on suspicion of felony assault and hate crime.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A man is facing hate crime and felony assault charges after attacking employees at a Blaze Pizza in Roseville.

The attack happened on Sept. 19. Police said it started when a man went into the restaurant to pick up a delivery order, saw a pride flag and threw it to the ground. The manager and employees confronted the man, who allegedly used a slur and left.

However, police said the man and two other people came back to the restaurant and got into a fight with two employees, leaving one with facial injuries.

The suspects left before police arrived, but on Oct. 1, police announced that 18-year-old Igor Dragun was arrested in connection to the attack. Dragun was the suspect who arrived at Blaze Pizza during the first incident, according to police.

Police and the district attorney's office are still finalizing their investigation into two other suspects.

Dragun was booked into the county jail on suspicion of felony assault and hate crime.
