ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Roseville Police Department released a rough timeline of the events behind a quadruple homicide after the suspect confessed to killing his family, according to authorities.

Shankar Hangud, 53, allegedly first killed a woman and a young girl on Monday, Oct. 7, before killing a young man the next day, Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The fourth victim, a man, was taken to a rural area of Siskiyou County and killed on Sunday, Oct. 13. Hangud drove to the Mount Shasta Police Department and turned himself in, with the body of the fourth victim still in his car.

None of the victims have been identified, but police have said two of the victims include two juveniles who did attend schools in Roseville.

Police still do not know why Hangud may have killed his family members or why the killings were spread out over days. Hangud has no local criminal history and there has never been a call for service at his home in Roseville.

Investigators are asking the public to help them piece together what may have happened during the three days the crimes were committed. If you saw the suspect or his vehicle at any time between Oct. 4 and Oct. 14, call the Roseville Police Department at 916-746-1059.
