Arrest made in deadly midtown Sacramento shooting

The Sacramento Police Department arrested 29-year-old Alex Brown on homicide-related charges.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a man in late September.

Police arrested 29-year-old Alex Brown for the deadly shooting Wednesday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department. 

The shooting happened near the 2300 Block of J Street on Sep. 21, police said. Officers found two men with gunshot wounds in the area.

Both were taken to the hospital, where 22-year-old Colby James Tevis later died from his injuries.

Brown was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and is facing homicide-related charges.
