SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox and his wife welcomed their second child together two weeks ago.
Fox, 26, said Sunday, via Instagram, the baby was born Aug. 7. ABC10 is working to confirm the child’s name, but Fox’s wife, Recee, posted photos to Instagram on Aug. 2 of what appeared to be a baby shower with the word “Poppy” displayed in pink.
Fox also wrote in his post: “My California Golden Poppy.”
The baby is the couple’s second after their son, Reign, who was born Feb. 3, 2023. De’Aaron and Recee Fox married in August 2022 in Malibu.
Recee Fox, 27, played in two games for the Seattle Storm in the 2019 WNBA preseason.
She said she broke her wrist three weeks before training camp and didn’t play in the league after that. On X (Twitter), Recee Fox said her husband was “literally on (FaceTime) when it happened.”
In May, the Sacramento couple announced the pregnancy days before Kings’ rival point guard on the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, announced the birth of he and wife Ayesha’s fourth child, Caius Chai Curry.
Curry commented Sunday on Fox’s post, “Congrats bro!!”
