SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A longtime Midtown Sacramento staple is reopening months after announcing its closure.
Zelda's Original Gourmet Pizza announced on its Instagram account that its reopening Thursday, but is not doing in-person dining and is only accepting cash.
"Beginning Thursday 11/07, we'll have our kitchen back open again for all your deep dish desire," Zelda's Instagram post reads. "For now, we're only doing order To Go, and cash is king for the Queen of Pizza. So, sorry for the inconvenience, but cards aren't accepted just yet."
Known for its Chicago-style deep dish pizza, Zelda's has operated in midtown for more than 45 years.
The pizzeria announced its closure in August after the restaurant stopped indoor dining and began offering to-go orders only in attempt to stay in business.
The Sacramento Business Journal reported Zelda's is resuming operations under new management led by Jon Stevenson and Beau Cornell.
Zelda's is located on 1415 21st Street and will be open Thursday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
