SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Developers are proposing to build a 214-unit affordable housing complex with commercial spaces for South Sacramento as the area sees increased development.
Dubbed Riza Village, the potential site would be a currently-vacant site at 6001 Riza Ave. along Stockton Boulevard.
According to site plans, three phases are included for development of the 7.9 acre plot of land, with the following apartment types ranging from 480 to 1,400 square feet:
- 92 units: 1 bedroom + 1 bathroom
- 16 units: 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms
- 106 units: 3 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms
While they're described as affordable apartments, site plans don't mention the level of affordability for the proposed three-story complex. Project developers did not return ABC10's request for comment by Tuesday afternoon.
Sacramento city planning staff are currently reviewing the application for further discussion.
