STOCKTON, Calif. — Reshanya Keough likes to share fond memories of her 20-year-old niece with whom she shares a first name.
"She was goofy. Great with children. Love to eat, love to eat," Keough told ABC10. "[She was] very gifted and talented as far as art, doing makeup. She could draw, draw a design."
"Full of life, fun, loving, caring and devoted, very loyal," said grandfather Michael Williams-Matthews.
Reshanya Williams was found along the side of the road in an industrial area of Stockton on Navy Drive and South Pershing Avenue last Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. That's near Interstate 5 and Charter Way, close to downtown.
Williams was suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a hospital but later died of her injuries. The original call came into 911 as a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. But, no vehicle was ever found.

Family members drove in from East Bay to Stockton to speak out about Williams' death. They say she had just moved to Stockton about a month ago. Wanting a fresh start, she rented an apartment. Relatives say she was attracted by the cheaper rents compared to the Bay Area. Before that Williams spent time living in Oakdale, Southern California and Richmond in the East Bay with relatives.
All of the family members ABC10 spoke with said she had no enemies.
"She took everybody in as her friend. I can remember the first day she was born," said grandmother Sandra Williams trying hold back tears.
Cousin Amari Keough spoke to Williams for the last time on her birthday two weeks ago.
"We don't get to see each other as much anymore since she has her own place and stuff like that. So, it was nice talking to her. To find out this it really hurt a lot," said Amari.
Now, the family is left in disbelief, devastated, angry, wanting answers and justice.
"Somebody saw something. And we're not accepting the fact that they didn't. Somebody saw something," said Keough.
"Whoever did that to my grandbaby they will pay. They have to pay. She didn't deserve that," added Sandra.
