Sketch released of man who shot at Stockton home, hitting 10-year-old boy

The shooting suspect is described as a Hispanic male, believed to be in his late teens, with shaggy hair.

STOCKTON, Calif. — The Stockton Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a man who shot at a home, injuring a 10-year-old boy. 

The shooting happened just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, along the 400 block of East Clay Street. When officers arrived, they discovered that a nearby home had been hit by gunfire. One of the bullets from the shooting hit a 10-year-old boy who was playing in his neighbor's backyard. 

The boy was treated and is expected to be okay.

The shooting suspect is described as a Hispanic male, believed to be in his late teens, with shaggy hair. Stockton police have released a sketch of the suspect on Facebook Friday.
