SACRAMENTO, California — A vigil was held, Wednesday evening, at the Sacramento Police and Sheriff's Memorial to remember fallen Sacramento Police Officer Tara O'Sullivan.
Friends, family, and law enforcement agencies paid their respects and showed their support at a candlelight vigil in memory of O'Sullivan. Hundreds attended.
Will Tonn was there to show his support. His son, Kevin Tonn, was killed in the line of duty six years ago as an officer with the Galt Police Department.

"Our son is also a fallen officer," Tonn said. "He's actually memorialized at this site and even if that hadn't been the case, there's law enforcement in our family and, losing our son, we try to make it out as possible and support the next family."
O'Sullivan's aunt and mother spoke during the vigil.
"We want to say thank you for loving on us too," said Kelley O'Sullivan, Tara O'Sullivan's mother. "Just know that our doors are open to those that need us. It works both ways."
Police departments outside of the area showed up as well including Portland and Ventura County.
