SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A blizzard and winter weather is hitting Sierra Nevada communities in California. Up to 10 feet of snow is in the forecast for some parts of the region.
Caltrans is trying to keep the roads open but expects Interstate 80 and Highway 50 to be closed for parts of Friday and Saturday because of whiteout conditions.
Here's what's closed. We'll be updating this list throughout the day.
- Crystal Bay Casino's Mustach Harbor event for Friday is rescheduled for Saturday, August 3. The casino is open.
- Door Dash through Sunday in Redding, Auburn, Oroville, South Lake Tahoe, Glenbrook, Red Bluff Placerville, Sonora, Martell, Susanville, Paradise, Truckee, Bishop.
- El Dorado County Offices:
- County Vote Center at Lake Tahoe Community College. Details HERE.
- County offices in South Lake Tahoe, including the South Lake Tahoe Library
- Placer County's Tahoe area offices through Saturday.
- Essential services and vote centers could stay open but closed offices including Community Development Resource Agency, Department of Public Works engineering division, Health and Human Services, Tahoe City and Kings Beach libraries, Department of Probation and executive offices. - The Tahoe City Courthouse is closed Friday. Courts in Auburn and Roseville are open.

- Ski Resorts:
- Boreal Mountain and Woodward Tahoe: Details HERE.
- Donner Ski Ranch. Runs are closed but the Old 40 Bar & Grill is open. Details HERE.
- Homewood: Closed for Friday, crews will evaluate for Saturday. Details HERE.
- Kirkwood: Closed for Friday, working to reopen Saturday, Details HERE.
- Mt. Rose: Closed because of winds. Details HERE.
- Palisades Tahoe: Closed Friday and Saturday due to winds and visibility. Details HERE.

- Sugar Bowl: Plans on operating as long as possible but as of 8 a.m. Friday, Judah and Old 40 are closed. Gondola maintenance is on hold. Details HERE.
